The Lightning High School Hockey League (LHSHL) today named Jesuit Tigers Senior forward Josh Burke as the league’s Honda Player of the Month for October. Additionally, the league announced East Manatee Admirals Junior Alex Workman as the Cheerios Goalie of the Month.

Burke recorded 13 goals and 6 assists for 19 points helping the Tigers win 5 games in October. He recorded a goal in 5 of the 6 games the Tigers played in October, while also contributing 2 hat-tricks, 2 additional multi-goal games, 2 game-winning goals as well as a shorthanded goal.

Workman appeared in and won 3 games for the Admirals in the month of October, posting a 3-0-0 record as well as a .971 save percentage and only let up one goal in the month of October. Additionally, the Junior recorded a shutout in a 6-0 victory over the Bloomingdale Bulls on October 19th.

Burke and Workman will each receive a personal replica trophy to recognize their accomplishments, along with their names engraved on the permanent award that will be given to both the Honda Player of the Year and Cheerios Goalie of the Year at the end of the season.
