Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Teams Up With LHSHL To Provide First Ever Medical Day

For the first time, the Lightning High School Hockey League, thanks to a tremendous partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, will be able to provide each athlete with baseline medical training to start the 2016-2017 season.

This mandatory event for all teams and players will take place on Sunday, August 28th, at Amalie Arena. Players will be put through baseline concussion testing, as well as a basic sports physical, with all tests being conducted by the great physicians of All Children's Hospital, located in St. Petersburg.

With the entire run-time of the day ranging from 9:00am to 6:00pm, each tam will be given a specific time-slot to attend, with the entire process taking approximately 90 minutes for each team to complete. Coaches will be given the opportunity to meet with and hold a 15 minute parents meeting prior to the start of their time slot (available upon request).

Specific time slots for each team will be released at a later date.
