Palm Harbor 7, Manatee 5

Recap: A four goal second period gave Palm Harbor a lead they would manage to hold in a 7-5 win over Manatee. Ben Reimer had a had trick for Palm Harbor, adding in an assist as well, while Avery Altieri added a goal and three assists. Lincoln Marshall scored twice for Manatee.

Records: Palm Harbor 8-3-0, Manatee 3-6-0

Durant 5, Freedom 0

Recap: Ryan Putnam stopped all 29 shots he faced to lead Durant to a 5-0 win over Freedom on Friday night. Putnam picked up the 29 save shutout to lead Durant, while Ethan Carstens and Kaeden Wolf each added three points. Leland Cigarran made 41 saves for Freedom.

Records: Durant 10-0-1, Freedom 3-4-2

Newsome Wolves 9, River Ridge 3

Recap: A four point night for Skogen Schrott helped guide the Newsome Wolves to a 9-3 win over River Ridge. Schrott had two goals and two assists, while three other Wolves each had three points each. Giovanni Gelli had two points for River Ridge.

Records: Newsome Wolves 10-1-0, River Ridge 2-7-0

Plant 4, Jenkins 2

Recap: A three goal third period helped spark a comeback for Plant, 4-2 over Jenkins on Friday night. Down 2-1 in the third, Ryan Staab scored to tie the game before William Niebauer and Tanner Wise each scored for Plant. Wise and Brady Barber each had two points for Plant, while Russell LaRosa made 30 saves for the win. Riley Behen mad 28 saves for Jenkins.

Records: Plant 6-3-0, Jenkins 4-7-1

Riverview 5, Steinbrenner 5

Recap: A fierce comeback from Steinbrenner ended in a 5-5 tie against Riverview on Friday. Down 3-1 in the second period, Ari Blatt scored twice for Steinbrenner to tie the game. Each team traded goals, with Tyler Hoffberg scoring three times and adding an assist for Riverview, while Blatt scored three total goals for Steinbrenner.  

Records: Riverview 8-1-1, Steinbrenner 4-5-2

East Lake 6, Palmetto 2

Recap: East Lake scored the game’s first three goals and didn’t look back in a 6-2 win over Palmetto. Benjamin Gentry had three points for East Lake, while three other Eagles each had a multi-point performance. Ethan Fischer stopped 39 shots for Palmetto.

Records: East Lake 9-0-1, Palmetto 4-3-0

Land O’ Lakes 3, Wiregrass 2

Recap: A late comeback sparked Land O’ Lakes to a 3-2 win over Wiregrass on Friday. Down 2-1 in the third period, Jason Abdullah and Dylan Mize each scored for Land O’ Lakes to take a 3-2 lead. Tristan Hilliard made 16 saves in the win. Erik Williams stopped 39 shots for Wiregrass.

Records: Land O’ Lakes 7-4-0, Wiregrass 3-7-1

Bloomingdale 3, Newsome Wolverines 3

Recap: A back and forth third period ended with a 3-3 tie for Bloomingdale and the Newsome Wolverines. The two teams combined for five goals in the third period, with Newsome scoring with just over a minute left to take a 3-2 lead before a last minute Bloomingdale goal tied it at 3. Kaine Otterbacher and Sawyer Smith each had three points for Newsome, while six different Bulls had a point for Bloomingdale.

Records: Bloomingdale 5-5-1, Newsome Wolverines 2-8-1

Seminole 6, Tampa 92s 3

Recap: A four goal second period lifted Seminole to a 6-3 win over the Tampa 92s on Friday night. Matthew Wallace had three points for the Sharks, while Oliver Spaulding made 28 saves. Rene Krytinar had a goal and an assist for the 92s.

Records: Seminole 7-3-0, Tampa 92s 3-9-0

Junior Varsity

Land O’ Lakes JV 10, Durant/Jenkins JV 0
Joshua Eisenberg had a hat trick and Owen Vachon added three points to lead Land O’ Lakes JV to a 10-0 win.

Manatee/Palmetto JV 3, Palm Harbor JV 1
Ethan Armor had two points, including the game-winning goal, to lead Manatee/Palmetto JV to a 3-1 win.
