The Lightning High School Hockey League (LHSHL) today named Steinbrenner Sophomore LOGAN PREAST as the league’s Honda Player of the Month for January. Additionally, the league announced Jenkins Senior, RYAN WARCHOLA as the Honda Goalie of the Month.
Preast scored 5 goals and had 1 assist for 6 points in 3 games in the month of January. His efforts in the month of January secured Steinbrenner a first-round bye in the LHSHL playoffs.
Warchola and Jenkins went 2-0 in the month of January. Warchola saw 51 shots and made 46 saves for a .901 SV% on the month. He and Jenkins also earned a first-round bye in the LHSHL playoffs.
Preast and Warchola will each receive a personal trophy to recognize their accomplishments, along with their names engraved on the permanent award that will be given to both the Player of the Year and Honda Goalie of the Year at the end of the season.
